Definition and Clarification of Terms
Technology Agnostic: Not founded to develop a specific technology and completely unbiased to the use of technology solutions.
Neutrality: Ability to collaborate in a truly neutral playing field with anti-trust protections and full independence from any particular open, or closed-source community, structure or repository.
Flexibility: Complete autonomy and ability to fine-tune each project to the specific goals and needs of the project.
Acceptable Project Deliverables: Open to all technology related project work deliverables including (but not limited to):
- Requirements gathering
- Technology proof of concept
- Certification and credentialing programs
- Specification and reference implementation development
- Best and recommended practices
- Technology adoption programs
- Pilot programs
- Test cases
- Demonstrations
- Uses cases, success stories, whitepapers and other marketing materials and programs
- Tutorials
- Collaborations, meetings and events
- Networking, information sharing and referrals
A-la-carte and Scalable Services: Access to a full menu of project support services and optional use of one or more as needed, scalable up or down as needed.
Project Collaboration Platform and Tools: Unlimited and independent use of the CollabForum portal, a customizable, fully integrated set of tools including document repository and collaboration workspace, calendar and balloting, email lists and project specific members-only websites.
Project Program Management: Included in the base project fee a set of standardized program and project management services and other support services including CollabForum marketing activities, public projects featured on the CollabForum website, financial administration, and coverage under CollabForum insurance policies.
Additional Project Support: Freedom to use low cost Inventures full set of project support services or separately and independently contract other third-party suppliers for any/all services. Examples may include open source project infrastructure (code repositories, code checkers, etc.) and other resources such as project event management, marketing and technical writers.
Cost: Required fees to become a member of the host organization and to start-up and operate a project.
